03 / INDUSTRIAL ROBOT PROGRAMMING

Precise motion.
Coordinated robot cells.

We program KUKA, Stäubli, Mitsubishi and Universal Robots robots, modify existing programs and integrate robot cells with their control systems. We treat robot motion, the process and interaction with the PLC and peripheral devices as one system.

01 / THE TASK

Robot programs and cell control interfaces

For both new and existing robot programs, we review the complete process cycle. We align positions and motion paths with the tool and workpiece coordinate systems and coordinate them with gripper and peripheral device operation. Handling process faults and interrupted cycles is also part of the task.

01

Robot programming

Programming robot movements, positions and process cycles, taking account of the workpiece, tooling and cell operating requirements.

02

PLC and cell integration

Coordinating the robot, PLC and connected equipment through control signal handshakes, operating modes, cycle conditions and process fault-handling functions.

03

Developing existing robot cells

Modifying existing robot programs, implementing new motion or process tasks, and troubleshooting and fine-tuning robot cell operation.

02 / WORKING TOGETHER

From requirements
to implementation.

  1. 01

    Requirements review

Reviewing the robot and controller types, cell, tooling, workpieces and existing programs.

  2. 02

    Interfaces

Agreeing PLC–robot signal handshakes, operating modes, start conditions and interaction with peripheral devices.

  3. 03

    Programming

Developing a structured robot program, movements, process cycles and peripheral device control functions.

  4. 04

    Testing and fine-tuning

Testing movements, PLC signal handshakes, cycles and fault scenarios under agreed, safe conditions, followed by fine-tuning.

  5. 05

    Handover

Handing over programs, project backups and control interface documentation within the agreed scope.

03 / HANDOVER

Clear results.
Documented solutions.

We define the exact handover scope at the start of the project, tailored to the task.

We hand over the robot programs and project files within the scope agreed in advance, with descriptions of motion sequences and signal handshakes with the PLC and peripheral devices. We also record key operating conditions, changes made and the results of the jointly defined tests.

This allows maintenance teams to understand the conditions under which the robot starts and which feedback signals it waits for during the cycle. The program files and interface descriptions support troubleshooting and preparation for future workpiece or process changes.

04 / INITIAL DISCUSSION

Let’s start with
the technical details.

  1. The robot and controller types, software version and availability of the existing program
  2. The cell layout and a description of the gripper and workpiece
  3. The required task, connected PLC and on-site schedule

05 / FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Frequently asked questions

Which robot brands do you work with?

We program and integrate robots from KUKA, Stäubli, Mitsubishi and Universal Robots. We agree on the tasks for the specific robot and controller type, the available development environment and implementation conditions for each project.

Can you modify an existing robot program?

Yes. We modify existing robot programs, implement new motion or process tasks and make control changes to robot cells. We assess feasibility based on the robot and controller types, program files, access permissions and cell design.

Do you also handle PLC–robot coordination?

Yes. We coordinate robot readiness signals, program selection and start, cycle start and completion, and status and fault signals. We define the process conditions for restarting interrupted cycles together with the other equipment in the cell.

What is needed for on-site testing?

We agree access permissions, equipment availability, test conditions and the participants’ responsibilities in advance. This provides the basis for the on-site schedule.
