We develop PLC programs and HMI interfaces for Siemens and Beckhoff controllers, for both new equipment and existing production systems. We tailor the control logic to the process requirements, with particular attention to clear operation, fault diagnostics and long-term maintainability.
01 / THE TASK
We primarily work with Siemens SIMATIC and Beckhoff control systems, using TIA Portal and TwinCAT. Our experience ranges from stand-alone workstations to production systems with multiple PLCs, including the control and communication integration of robots, servo drives and machine vision inspection systems.
Programming manual and automatic operating modes, process sequences, start conditions, operational interlocks and fault-handling functions to the agreed requirements.
Clear industrial HMI interfaces with status indications, parameter settings and operator functions. We also develop bespoke Windows-based HMI applications using C#/.NET WPF, tailored to the task.
Detailed status and fault messages, device diagnostics and troubleshooting functions to help locate problems faster and make equipment easier to operate.
02 / WORKING TOGETHER
We review the process, hardware, source projects, access permissions and development environment versions. For existing systems, we agree on communication links, required backups and the impact of changes on production.
We define manual and automatic operating modes, operating sequences and start conditions. We agree on process fault handling, restart conditions, operator requirements and the data to be displayed on the HMI.
We create the PLC program and HMI screens to the agreed functions and any customer programming standards. We develop clear, structured programs, using a modular approach where appropriate, with diagnostics to support troubleshooting.
Functional trials check input and output signals, operating modes and process sequences. We test fault scenarios and restart behaviour; FAT/SAT testing is also carried out where required and agreed.
We organise the project files and agreed documentation so changes remain traceable. We explain operation and troubleshooting, and agree the conditions for future maintenance and support.
03 / HANDOVER
We define the exact handover scope at the start of the project, tailored to the task.
At the end of development, we hand over the PLC and HMI project files, documentation of the implemented functions and changes, and verification results within the scope agreed in advance.
Our aim is to keep the control system’s operation understandable, the program maintainable and the system ready for further development. The functional description and diagnostic guidance help maintenance teams locate faults.
04 / INITIAL DISCUSSION
05 / FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
We work with Siemens SIMATIC S7-1500 and ET 200SP CPU controllers in TIA Portal, and with Beckhoff PLC systems in TwinCAT. We confirm the hardware type and software version at the start of the project.
Yes. Feasibility depends on the available source project, access permissions, software versions and the condition of the equipment. After reviewing these and the required operation, we agree on the changes, necessary checks and production conditions.
Yes. We prepare operator interface development around the PLC connection, available data and operator requirements.
The scope, conditions and schedule for on-site checks, commissioning and support are defined as part of the project.
Yes. We help troubleshoot existing Siemens and Beckhoff controllers, identify program faults and make targeted changes. We agree on the options and conditions for intervention based on the equipment, available access and production environment.
