Our core work is PLC and HMI development and bespoke industrial automation software. We take a structured engineering approach to deliver stable systems that our customers can maintain effectively.
Automation projects in our team’s shared experience
50+
The year Prognex Automation was reorganised
2024
As an independent team, we continue the industrial automation work that began within Voltaic Treatment Kft., a family business specialising in metal surface treatment.
The team members and professional partners of Prognex Automation Kft., reorganised in 2024, have gained experience in more than 50 automation projects. We continue to build on this shared engineering background.
We believe engineering rigour goes hand in hand with a flexible, energetic approach.
Our mission remains the same: to deliver high-quality services and work that achieve customer satisfaction and build lasting, fair and successful partnerships.
02 / WHAT DRIVES US
Practical benefits in production.
We introduce new technologies into production to deliver practical benefits: clearer operation, more data and less downtime. Innovation matters when maintenance teams find it useful and production sees the benefit.
We enjoy engineering challenges that require careful thinking and creative solutions. Control logic should be well organised, and diagnostics should provide real help with troubleshooting.
We start from the requirements agreed with the customer and look for the solution best suited to the task. A traceable program structure, clear fault diagnostics and agreed documentation support reliable operation and maintenance.
03 / OUR EXPERTISE
From control systems to industrial software.
01
Siemens S7 and TIA Portal
We carry out PLC and HMI development, system integration and troubleshooting, structuring solutions around process and operational requirements.
Our experience includes control logic design, strategies for safe operation, diagnostics and common industrial communication environments.
Our focus is on the possibilities of PC-based control and the TwinCAT ecosystem. We work with PLC logic, HMI solutions and software architectures that support modularity and expansion.
We pay particular attention to real-time operation and stable control of mechanical and production processes.
Alongside PLC programming, we are experienced in Windows-based industrial software development. Using C#/.NET and WPF, we create operator interfaces for machines and robot cells, as well as configuration and process supervision applications.
We also support operation with data acquisition, data processing, diagnostics and logging. We enjoy combining conventional software development with industrial automation.
Alongside PLC and industrial software development, we also contribute to electrical engineering and commissioning work.
We have worked on standalone equipment, robot cells and complex production lines. We are equally happy to take on a clearly defined development task or contribute to a larger automation project together with our professional partners.
Our projects include the integration and programming of robots, industrial machine vision systems, drives and various field devices, as well as control logic and operator interface development.
Windows-based operator applications, industrial data acquisition and diagnostics also form part of system integration.

Development shaped by your needs
We select training to meet our customers’ needs in PLC and HMI/SCADA development, industrial networks and communication, drive technology and motion control, robotics, industrial machine vision and camera systems, and system integration and diagnostics.
Through courses in Windows-based industrial software development, we also keep our knowledge of architecture, version control, testing and release management up to date.
06 / PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE
Experience gained on site.
Over the years, we have worked in a wide range of industrial settings, from standalone special-purpose machines to multi-station production lines and robot cells. Here are some examples of the engineering tasks we contributed to.
01
Control development for machining lines
We carried out Siemens S7-1500 PLC programming and electrical installation tasks on three machining lines at Hanon Systems Hungary, with 10+ stations in total. The lines use FANUC robots and Robodrill machines. Implementation partner: Stefani Hungária Kft.
We contributed to the development of seven end-of-line palletising cells in the United Kingdom through Beckhoff PLC programming and C#/.NET WPF-based HMI development. The applications support palletising configuration and operation of the complete robot cell. Implementation partner: Granta Automation Ltd.
We developed a Siemens S7-1500 PLC program and supervisory functions for the tank farm at W-Scope Hungary Plant Kft., based on the customer’s functional specification. Project partner: LDP Systems Kft.
Our further experience includes special-purpose machines and an assembly line for BOS Automotive Products, rotary indexing machines for ZF Group, an assembly line for APTIV, and production support at the new Mercedes-Benz Manufacturing plant in cooperation with Famex Tools Kft. We have also developed data capture software for handheld scanners and a smoke and heat extraction system in a building automation environment.
Whether it is an industrial PC application or an automation subsystem, our goal is the same: a solution that works predictably on site and can be maintained over the long term.
